The start of another legacy.

That darn Wii. The potential of a star and yet, nothing comes of it. I can't say any of the systems are really making me smile from ear to ear but then again, it's the beginning of the declared war.

Nintendo has got to pick up the pace if it's going to be in this console war from start to finish. The Wii has been low on stock, it doesn't have any Wi-Fi games at release, which they should have learned from with from their very successful DS launch, and it's games are not completely appealing at this momeent. It's as if Nintendo is simply waiting for their big guns to lay the smack down and it won't happem if they get beaten up beforehand. It's hard to come back when you're not in an established position to win. The 360 is obviously leading as of right now but that's because neither the Wii or PS3 have put anything out that will turn any tides. It's unfortunate this is how things have to start--real slow.

The Wii has the potential to set gaming on fire and bring a new life that gaming has never had before. With the proper use of the Wiimote and the proper execution of games, Nintendo can start another legacy. The last thing we need to see is for games to take the same route movies are taking in such a young stage.

Games are finally coming into their own and so Nintendo better be prepared to face-off against the heavy hitters even if that's not what they want in the first place. Gaming is not going in a firm direction as of right now and if Nintendo plays their cards right, they can be the start of another legacy.
